Margin Guard is a Shopify application designed to help merchants protect gross margins when applying discounts through Shopify POS.

Information Margin Guard accesses

Margin Guard may access Shopify store information necessary to provide its functionality, including product information, product costs, inventory-related information, cart information, and app configuration settings.

How information is used

This information is used only to provide Margin Guard's features, including calculating gross margin, determining safe discount amounts, and storing the merchant's selected minimum margin setting.

Data storage

Margin Guard stores app configuration information needed to operate the service. The merchant's minimum margin setting is stored within Shopify as app-specific data.

Data sharing

Margin Guard does not sell merchant or customer data. Information is not shared with third parties except service providers used to operate the application or when required by law.

Data retention and deletion

When Margin Guard is uninstalled, access to the merchant's Shopify store is revoked. Merchants may contact us to request deletion of any data retained by Margin Guard.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information processed by Margin Guard.
